Eligibility Details for Punjab Police IA & Constable

Constable (Investigation Cadre)

  • The candidate should be a Graduate from a recognized university or its equivalent.

Intelligence Assistant (Intelligence Cadre)

  • The candidate should be a graduate from a recognized University or Institution. And shall also have to possess an ‘O’ Level Certificate of Information Technology from (NIELIT) (earlier called as DOEACC); OR
  • A Graduate from a recognized University or Institution with Computer Science / Computer Applications / Information Technology, as one of the elective subjects during the entire duration of graduation; OR
  • B.Sc/B.Tech/BE in Information Technology / Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Computer Science & Engineering / Information Systems / Computer Networking /  Data Science / Software Engineering / BCA / Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications from a recognized University or Institution, as the case may be.

Mandatory Qualification for Punjab Police IA & Constable
  • Candidates must have attained the above mentioned educational qualifications on or before the closing date for submission of online applications for this recruitment.

Selection Process for Punjab Police IA & Constable

The selection process shall be a 2 (two) stage process consisting of the following Tests:

  • Stage I: Computer Based Test (CBT) consisting of Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) Paper to be conducted.
  • Stage II:
    • Document Scrutiny
    • Physical Measurement Test (PMT)
    • Physical Screening Test (PST)
